Events and Programs

New Member Reception
Each spring, the Lee County Chamber of Commerce recognizes its new members from the annual membership drive and also
takes the opportunity to honor our existing membership.

Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon
This luncheon will be hosted by the Lee County Chamber of Commerce on the annual Administrative Professional’s Day.
Businesses will be invited to share lunch with us and invite their Administrative Professionals along with them for a luncheon of
great food, fellowship and entertainment.

Lee County Cotton Festival
This annual affair is held in honor of Lee County and its claim that “Cotton is King”.  This event will be hosted downtown and
consist of a parade, live music, food vendors, and craft vendors.

Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet
This annual event is held to honor those past, present, and future Chamber business members.  This is also an opportunity for
businesses to sponsor this largely attended event and be recognized as an active Chamber member.

Hometown Christmas in Bishopville
Annually held the first Tuesday night in December, businesses are allowed the opportunity to help sponsor this event and be
included in the evening’s final drawing of gift certificates.  The mayor turns on the lights downtown at dark and all the businesses
stay open until 9PM.

Monthly Business Card Drawing
Drop your business card off in the Chamber office fish bowl and at the monthly Red Carpet Breakfasts, we will draw a business
card and they will receive a free lunch for five people at their business. (Must be present to win.)

50/50 Raffle
The first week of each month we will sell raffle tickets ($1/ticket or 6 tickets for $5), and on Friday at Noon we will have the raffle
drawing. Half the proceeds will go to the lucky winner and the other half will go to the Chamber.  This is an opportunity for a Lee
County business to host the monthly drawings and help promote the Chamber from within the community.

Weekly Business Highlight
Each week we will highlight a business in Lee County that is a current, active Chamber member and contributor.  This business
will be displayed in the front window of the Chamber office from Monday through Friday and will be lit up so it can be seen in the
window after regular business hours.

Black Leadership Dinner
This annual event is held to honor local Lee County leaders that have shown outstanding dedication and service to their
community.  We hold this event in honor of Black History Month and we choose to honor those that are still living and working in
our community, rather than wait until they have passed.

What if I don’t have time to attend Chamber functions and programs?
Even if you don’t have time become personally involved in the Chamber’s programs, your partnership still pays off!  When you
own/or manage a business, your annual sales and profits are affected by the economy, tax structure, governmental regulations,
quality of the labor force and the overall quality of life.  Your investment in the Chamber is an investment in your local organization,
which makes these very issues a priority.
The Chamber’s goals are to support businesses in their effort to grow, recruit new businesses for continued high quality
economic growth, represent the partner’s interest in government and legislative issues and ensure the highest standards for an
improved quality of life.
It is important to the future of your business to ensure that the Lee County region has a healthy business climate.  Your
investment in the Lee County Chamber of Commerce helps make this possible.
It you have decided to become a partner of the Chamber, your partnership will automatically renew each year unless you notify us
